Don José Magaña, originating from Michoacán, arrived at Sierra de Juárez in 1937, dedicating at cattle rising. Pionner founder of the ranchs Rodeo del Rey & El Apache, inherited to the new generations the related with the hard work of the mountain cowboys. He died in April, 1st, 2005 at the age of 97.

Don José married in 1956 with Lolita Magaña Esparza, giving birth to 4 children, born in Sierra de Juárez.

The older, Reynaldo & his family, today are the owners of Rancho Rodeo del Rey.

Following tradition, they are dedicated to cattle production, however, 10 years to date, the concept was modified to a cattle farm exclusively, to incorporate tourism activities without forgetting the original activities, characteristic of the region.

That way, visitors can watch y get involved in daily activities of the ranch, living in own body & soul the rich way of life of the mountain cowbows.
